India is a country that is large in every way. It has a large landmass, the seventh largest in the world that is very beautiful and diverse. The numbers of people are staggering, over a billion people, which is almost impossible to comprehend. The people are kind and helpful. They have an unbelievable number of gods that they worship. In the Hindu religion they worship over 330 million gods. Because of this, we are there doing church planting and sharing the message of hope that comes through the One true God, Jesus Christ.
Even though there are pockets of resistance to the gospel there, it is amazing to see how God is using our tenacious and courageous church planters to carry the life-changing message of the good news. I heard India described recently as a place where poverty and spiritual darkness collide. That is a perfect description, but I am glad that God is using us to penetrate the darkness with the message of hope that comes through Jesus who says about himself, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of light.” Come go with us so that you can see first hand the darkness being dispelled by the Light of the World.
