Introducing Our New Partner: East-West Ministries International
Reaching the Unreached Together
At Doulos Partners, we believe the Great Commission is not the work of one organization—it’s the work of the entire Body of Christ. That’s why strategic partnerships are central to everything we do.
Today, we’re excited to introduce one of our newest ministry partners: East-West Ministries International, a ministry serving among unreached people groups in some of the most spiritually dark regions of the world.
For more than 30 years, East-West has equipped local believers to share the gospel, make disciples, and plant churches in places where many have never heard the name of Jesus.
A Shared Mission
East-West’s mission is “to mobilize the Body of Christ to evangelize the lost and equip local believers to multiply disciples and churches among the unreached.”
Their vision is “to glorify God by multiplying followers of Jesus in the spiritually darkest areas of the world.”
These statements resonate deeply with the vision of Doulos Partners. Both organizations are committed to reaching those who have little or no access to the gospel and empowering local believers to establish healthy, reproducing churches that transform communities for generations to come.
Hear Directly from East-West
Before reading further, we invite you to hear from Kristen Shuler, President of East-West Ministries International, as she shares the story behind this partnership and the incredible opportunities God is opening among the unreached.

A Relationship Years in the Making
This partnership didn’t begin with a proposal or a funding request—it began with relationships.
The connection dates back to 2014 when East-West leadership first crossed paths with Doulos Partners’ founder, David Johnson, through mutual ministry connections in Birmingham. Over the following years, leaders from both organizations continued to serve alongside one another through networks such as the Coalition of the Willing and the Achieve Alliance.
As those relationships deepened, it became clear that God had given both ministries a remarkably similar vision. We share a passion for reaching people who have little or no access to the gospel, equipping indigenous leaders, and planting healthy, reproducing churches in places where Christ is least known.
Most importantly, both organizations believe that lasting Kingdom impact is built through relationships— relationships with local leaders, ministry partners, churches, and the communities they serve.
A Timely Opportunity
When East-West launched a bold new vision to expand gospel access among unreached peoples, they knew the opportunities were greater than ever before. They also knew that fulfilling that vision would require trusted partners who shared their heart for the nations.
Within hours of East-West’s board approving this expanded vision, Doulos Partners stepped forward to help make it possible.
For East-West, it was a powerful confirmation of God’s provision. For Doulos Partners, it was an opportunity to invest in a ministry with a proven track record of disciple-making, leadership development, and church multiplication in some of the world’s most difficult-to-reach regions.
Kingdom Impact Through Partnership
One of the first areas benefiting from this partnership is South Asia, where local leaders had long identified opportunities to expand gospel outreach but lacked the resources to pursue them fully.
As support increased, those leaders were able to broaden their vision and ministry efforts. Today, more people are hearing the gospel, more believers are being trained to make disciples, and new churches are being established in communities where there has been little or no Christian witness.
This is exactly why Doulos Partners exists—to come alongside faithful ministries and local leaders who are already doing the work and help accelerate what God is accomplishing through them.
Looking Ahead
East-West serves among unreached people groups across more than 50 countries, focusing on regions where access to the gospel remains limited and where local believers are often the key to sustainable Kingdom growth.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with a ministry that shares our commitment to biblical discipleship, church multiplication, indigenous leadership development, and faithful stewardship.
As Paul wrote in Philippians 1:5, we thank God for this “partnership in the gospel.”
Together, we look forward to seeing more lives transformed, more disciples made, and more churches planted among the nations—all for the glory of God.
Thank you for partnering with Doulos Partners as we work together to bring the hope of Christ to every village, everywhere.
